Zhengzhou, Henan – December 5, 2025 – ZXSTEELGROUP, one of China’s leading manufacturers of ground support products, announced the successful export of 3,000 pieces of 46 mm galvanized split set stabilizers (model MS-46) to Colombia. The shipment, valued at approximately USD 112,000, left Qingdao Port yesterday and is scheduled to arrive at Buenaventura Port before Christmas 2025.
This order was placed by a major underground contractor currently driving twin tunnels for the Bogotá Metro Line 2 project and simultaneously supporting several high-grade gold mines in the departments of Caldas and Tolima. The client specifically selected the 46 mm diameter model for its superior load-bearing capacity in the highly fractured volcanic rock and fault zones typical of the Central Cordillera.
Each MS-46 stabilizer is produced from high-tensile steel pipe with a minimum yield strength of 600 MPa and undergoes a proprietary high-frequency induction welding process to ensure perfect roundness and uniform wall thickness. The entire batch received heavy hot-dip galvanizing with an average zinc coating of 650 g/m², far exceeding the 400 g/m² commonly offered in the market, guaranteeing exceptional corrosion resistance in Colombia’s humid and acidic mine water environments.
The shipment includes 3,000 matching 150 × 150 × 8 mm high-strength bearing plates and hardened pull collars designed for rapid installation using standard jackleg drills. All products passed 100 % magnetic particle inspection and third-party BV certification, with detailed test reports provided in both English and Spanish.
“ZXSTEELGROUP has supplied over 450,000 friction bolts to Latin America since 2017, and Colombia now ranks as our second-largest market in the region after Peru,” said Ms. Zhang Lin, International Sales Director. “The 46 mm series has become the preferred choice for many contractors here because it offers nearly the same support capacity as traditional 51 mm resin bolts but at half the installation time and significantly lower cost.”
To ensure smooth customs clearance and immediate site deployment, ZXSTEELGROUP pre-packed the stabilizers in strong wooden crates (50 pieces per crate) with clear Spanish labeling and QR codes linking directly to installation videos. The company also dispatched a senior engineer to Bogotá next week to conduct free on-site training focusing on the latest “one-pass” installation technique that can increase daily output by 25–30 %.
This export further strengthens ZXSTEELGROUP’s market position in South America, where the company has established local warehouses in Lima and Medellín to achieve 7–10 day delivery for standard products. The successful execution of this 3,000-piece order demonstrates the company’s production flexibility and reliable supply chain capabilities even during the year-end peak season.
ZXSTEELGROUP stated that it will continue expanding its 46 mm and 51 mm large-diameter product lines in 2026, with new anti-corrosion coatings and higher pull-out strength variants already under testing to meet the increasingly demanding ground conditions in deep mining and large-section tunneling projects across Latin America.
